I've been testing and pushing the limits
of the 25 caliber PCP all of this year. It's been a quiet program
going on in the background. Here's some final tests run today.
The main test frame for the year's
tests has been the Ranger 2002. Shown here in today's format.
Consistency is something you work for.
Here's ten, five shot groups (shot back to back) off the internal
reservoir of the PCP rifle. The slugs were Barnes custom cast
62 grain "Daisycutters". Now THAT's a heavy 25 caliber
slug!
The average of the 10, five shot groups
was .782" Center to Center. That's the average of ten groups
(50 shots) I made in a row. The rifle was shooting 100 Foot Pounds
in 25 caliber here!
In another test of 10, five shot groups;
I shot the Barnes Custom cast Bishop slug of approx. 46.3 grains.
The average group in this fifty shot string was .784" Center
to Center. Amazingly ... that's almost identical to the previous
50 shot's average group size (with a different slug and different
power level setting). The rifle was shooting this slug at approx.
80 Foot Pounds here!
These specs. are the outside limits
of today's 25 caliber PCP. I demonstrate them here and show the
results. If other makers/manufacturers don't show you theirs ...
ask them why.
Results like this are very difficult
to achieve. We're not talking one or two "Mega Blaster"
stunt shots here. This is a cultured, complex, and very consistent
pc. of machinery.
