First test of the new program

And The Bison Still Roam ...

This is the latest bison I've made. A 45 caliber muzzle loading power house.

The long "lambs tongue" makes this Bison very comfortable to shoulder.

Butt reservoir and the stock provides a comfortable cheek.

Filled through this probe port ... the probe then quick couples to the standard Foster geometry quick disconnect (my standard geometry fill for many years)

details

the front sight - hooded post and bead. Integral solid brass unit also forms the front ram rod thimble.

The Barnes Adjustable peep sight. Six spiral peep holes. The tower rotates and clicks into six detents. Holding dead on at distance is just a "click" away.

Only one "Peep" is ever aligned with the eye at a time. No chance for confusion.

Ram rod forestock tunnel

Power adjust for the hammer tube system

details

Palm over the Walnut upper tongue ... fingers wrap around the lamb's tongue of the billet machined housing.

Set trigger. See that "nubb" @ 3 o'clock inside the circle? Click it down to arm the trigger before firing.

This fine Barnes Bison Class will be doing duty on the east coast of the US. Muzzle loading competitions and hunting are in store.

There's 500 foot pounds in reserve for hunting. And a target kit to tame the beast to about 300 fpe for "Plinking".

Hope you enjoyed seeing the pics ...
