Barnes custom handmade air rifles are currently available in three ways:

Immediate sale from inventory. Note: this is very rare. These guns become available because I offer test guns, personal guns, and guns made on spec. Anything offered for sale from Barnes Pneumatic will be first quality and in perfect working order. If you purchase a test or personal gun, I will disclose it's cosmetic condition and amend the cost accordingly. Remember that this is a World Market - what becomes available today - might be gone today. I post things on this site and list their available dates.

If you wish, I can place you on a "Spec Rifle" list. I won't kid you, there are already a group of folks there. I'm always working on something new. That's what keeps the technology advancing. Very occasionally, this program produces a complete rifle which I sell. The chance is that you will be the fella who wants the 32 caliber when everyone else is hoping for a 56. It might work for you.

Immediate sale at a major show. I attend several major shows each year. This year I will do a couple of new ones. Watch this site to know what is coming up. If I have anything, I'll bring it to the show.

Custom order. We put our heads together and clarify what you wish to do with the air gun. Once we record a realistic goal, we proceed to design a personal custom to your needs. Currently, custom orders are quoted for delivery in approx. 36 months. This is my best current estimate. It also works well for many folks. It allows them to make small, regular payments during the waiting period. (Keep in mind: time flies. I know folks who didn't order eight years ago because they didn't want to wait 4 months.)

The basic decisions you need to make before ordering are these: "Do I want this fellow to make a pcp for me?" Next question is, "Am I comfortable with this fellow's reputation in the trade?" If you are comfortable with the answers to these questions, you may wish to place a deposit. This makes the whole thing real. You go into the ledger. You secure a time slot in my work schedule. All the small details can be worked out during the waiting period. Don't feel you must have every detail in place prior to ordering. Each week someone new places an order and the waiting list grows. The only way to stop this, for you, is to place your deposit on the books.
