There are just a few more little things
to do first ...
The hub needs to be fitted to the billet
receiver. This scribed out area must be removed.
You recall the large band saw I bought
some months back. That's been very helpful. I have 4 band saws
- but this one is a charm.
Here the waste area has been cut away
as best that's efficient with this saw.
Back to one of the milling machines.
This one is a belt drive. The tool and the speed must be chosen
for the task. There's ALOT of this that goes on during the day.
The billet is positioned and clamped
into the machine vise on the mill.
And, we start roughing out the remaining
waste steel.
Are we done yet?
